RJD Machining, founded in 1987, is very modern company that is continuously improving and developing our processes and people skills. We specialize in precision production runs and prototype work for O.E.M’s in, but not limited too, the medical equipment, aerospace, electronic component, optical, measuring instrument, pumping, electro-magnetic, computer storage industry, and photonics industries. We can machine very small precision parts, the size of a small diamond earring. We can mill components up to 30 1/2” in length by 20” wide. Our size capability for lathe work is 8 inches in diameter and up to 20 inches long. Approximately 75% of the parts we manufacture are made from aluminum while the remainder of our work is a plastic, stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, copper, and most alloys. We have an excellent network of support vendors that provide plating, painting, welding, heat treatment, brazing, etc.

RJD Machining continues to reinvest earnings to ensure our ongoing ability to grow with our clients. The company uses two of the best systems in the world today to run its day-to-day operations. Epicore continues to refine and improve the “Vista” platform. This high-end software program enables RJD to track machine and employee efficiencies and material and labor costs. It’s a critical component for maximizing operating efficiencies.

Expensive software and equipment is pretty worthless without the quality machinists that know how to utilize the technology. At RJD, we create a work environment where machinists make a career ….where staff is constantly queried for ways to make things better….and where machinists are rewarded for making quality parts.

Machining in America today continues to be challenged by the need to minimize human error and maximize efficiencies. Sophisticated software and the evolution of equipment have created huge opportunities, and at the same time, large challenges for managing quality control. Our philosophy for quality control is that of a journey and not that of a destination. We are constantly refining and looking for ways to improve our procedures, thereby raising our standards. After all, that’s what we are in business for…..to make the highest quality parts, at the most competitive prices possible, delivered to the clients at their prescribed time.
